Project Dilema
I chose to work with Liberty Electric as I grew up
around the workplace being that my own father
worked as a lead electrician for Liberty.
While this particular company has been successful in its ability to attract customers both big and small a lack of identity in the company's branding prevented Liberty from standing out against the new and emerging electrical companies in its area.
Logo Design Changes
While Liberty Electric's current logo worked well for its current client base, the desire for a modern minimalistic logo that would attract attention from a younger demographic led to the concept of a new design.
With a newly refreshed color scheme that pays homage to its predecessors, This modern design was made in an effort To meet the demand for a growing modern company, this logo was created with the interest of presenting a new professional face that will be recognized by current clients.
Process Work
Working with the core elements of Liberty Electric, I set to redesign the company logo with the intention of remaining as close to the company's current ideologies as possible.
Digital Ideation
While the three options shown did use imagery in line with Liberty Electric’s brand, imagery that was deemed “on the nose” was asked to be avoided.
Color Scheme
While Liberty Electric has held the same blue and gold color scheme since its opening, the introduction of a brighter color scheme was implemented to attract a younger demographic while retaining a recognizable appearance for the local community.
